Who is the Umarell? The story of the little man who watches over building sites

In every Italian town, in front of every building site, there he is: hands behind his back, watchful gaze, ready to comment on the works with an authority all his own. He's the Umarell.

Where the name comes from

The word comes from the Bolognese dialect: umarèl, meaning "little man". Over the years it has become a pop phenomenon, even making it into dictionaries and inspiring exhibitions, books and — why not — collectible figurines.

Our Umarell

We've reimagined him in a low-poly style and 3D printed him in PLA, Made in Italy. A little desk guardian watching over the most important building site of all: your work.
